In the context of its efforts to promote the creation of the Cyprus Science Technology Park (STP) for development purposes in the Limassol district, the Government of Cyprus invites interested parties to send an Initial Expression of Interest regarding the following:
- Initial Expression of Interest from Enterprises/Organisations that wish to be accommodated and develop activities in the STP.
- Initial Expression of Interest from Investors wishing to undertake the establishment and operation of the STP.
The STP could host:
- Applied research and academic centres.
- Business incubators and clusters.
- Activities related to other knowledge-based enterprises, organisations and institutions.
Indicative knowledge-intensive areas include Information and Communications Technologies, Energy, Nanotechnology, Health and Biomedicine, Agriculture and Food, Environment and Water.
The Government of Cyprus is considering incentives such as:
- Favourable tax schemes for research, innovation and technology development activities.
- Flexible procedures and employment status for Cypriot, EU or third country citizens.
- Priority will be given and flexibility applied to investors’ enterprises, organisations and tenants of the STP regarding government procedures, issuing of licences, etc.
- Flexibility in planning and construction parameters.
Interested parties must complete and send the relevant Forms to the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism by Monday, 10 March 2014 at 12:00 noon (local time).
